Note
The AML and Travel Rule integrations are premium features that require additional purchases. Address Registry is a native Fireblocks feature available to all workspaces at no additional cost. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to request access to the AML and Travel Rule integrations.
Overview
Fireblocks offers both native compliance checks and integrations with leading crypto compliance providers, so you can identify transaction counterparties and detect high-risk activity. In the Fireblocks Console, you manage these checks and configure policies for screening your transactions.
- Address registry: Fireblocks' built-in address registry enables you to establish deterministic identities for transaction counterparties. Unlike AML screening, the address registry does not assess risk, but rather identifies who is on the other side of a transaction. Learn more about Address registry.
- AML: Fireblocks integrates with Chainalysis and Elliptic to support automated Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) compliance, as well as sanctions compliance operations. Learn more about the AML integration.
- Travel Rule: Fireblocks integrates with Notabene to analyze your inbound and outbound transaction activity and determine the additional data on the senders and recipients of your transactions you must provide for Travel Rule compliance. Learn more about the Travel Rule integration.
These compliance functions operate at different stages of a transaction. AML screening assesses counterparty risk before a transaction proceeds. The address registry identifies counterparties deterministically. Travel Rule screening occurs after AML: if a counterparty is already flagged as high-risk, Travel Rule data exchange typically does not proceed. If you have both AML and Travel Rule integrations enabled, the AML transaction screening occurs before the Travel Rule transaction screening.
