Overview

Certain blockchains require asset wallets to hold a minimum balance (or Base Reserve) of the network's base asset. Any transactions that would cause an account's total balance to drop below this minimum balance will fail.

Minimum balance and additional reserve requirements vary depending on the blockchain and may change over time as the blockchain's needs expand.
