Fireblocks supports Solana (SOL) as a base asset and Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens. To transact with either, first add a SOL asset wallet to a vault account.
To add a Solana asset wallet:
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Vault, select the appropriate vault account, and then select Create wallet.
- On the Create asset wallet dialog, search for SOL and then select it under Solana.
- Select Create wallet.
- Deposit a recommended minimum of 0.01 SOL to the asset wallet you just created. Solana wallets require a minimum balance to remain active on-chain. For details, see SOL asset wallet minimum balances.
After the SOL asset wallet is approved and the minimum deposit transaction is completed, Fireblocks registers the wallet on the Solana blockchain. You can then create SPL token asset wallets in this vault account.
Note: Creating an SPL token asset wallet now creates the wallet only in Fireblocks. The corresponding on-chain account is created when the wallet first receives a deposit.
