Overview
This article explains how to create and submit an on-ramp order — converting fiat currency into digital assets — in the Fireblocks Console.
New to on-ramp? Start here: What is an on-ramp or off-ramp order?
Before you begin
Make sure your workspace has:
- A connected provider account
- The required policy rules in place
See Getting started with on-ramp and off-ramp orders.
Funds on the fly (DVP)
With this option, you transfer funds to the provider after creating the order. The rate behavior depends on your provider. See What is an on-ramp or off-ramp order?
- Select + to start a new transfer, then select On/Off ramp.
- Under From, select your external bank account, fiat currency, and payment method. The options shown depend on your provider and currency. See Payment methods to understand what happens after order creation for each method.
- Under To, select the vault, one-time address (OTA), or whitelisted address, and the digital asset you want to receive.
- Under Via, select the connected account to use. The list shows only accounts that support your selected currency and rail.
- Select Create Order and review the order details. The system checks your order against your workspace policy rules.
- Once approved, a payment instructions panel appears with the bank details you need to send funds to the provider. Initiate the transfer from your external bank using the details shown.
Warning: Complete your bank transfer before the order expires. Expiration timeframes vary by provider and payment method.
The order status updates to Awaiting Payment. Once the provider confirms receipt of your funds, the digital assets are delivered to your destination and the order status changes to Completed.
Prefunded
With this option, you draw from a fiat balance already held with the provider — no bank transfer needed after the order is created.
Info: Make sure you have deposited fiat funds into your provider account.
- Select + to start a new transfer, then select On/Off ramp.
- Under From, select the fiat currency and select Prefunded as the rail.
- Select the connected account to use. The list shows only accounts that support this currency and the prefunded rail. The Via field is automatically set to the account you select.
- Under To, select the vault, one-time address (OTA), or whitelisted address, and the digital asset you want to receive.
- Select Create Order and review the order details. The system checks your order against your workspace policy rules.
Once approved, the provider draws from your pre-deposited balance and immediately delivers the digital assets to your destination.
Payout flow
If you are processing on-ramp orders on behalf of clients, you will need to provide originator and beneficiary identifying information (PII) as part of the order. The order form shows these fields automatically when your provider account is configured for payout flow. Missing information might cause the order to fail during the provider's compliance checks. Both funds on the fly (DVP) and prefunded settlement types are supported for payout flow orders.
Tracking your order
All orders are visible under History > Orders in the left navigation panel. Use the Filters button to filter by status, provider, or date.
