Before you begin connecting your Cold Wallet (CW) and hot workspaces read the overview of the Fireblocks P2P Network article to get familiar with the feature.
We recommend to start connecting your workspaces from your hot environment because you will be able to configure Flexible Network Routing.
Update: Flexible Routing Now Available for Cold Wallet (Early Availability)
Cold Wallet workspaces can now enable the newer P2P Network experience, including flexible routing. Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable this feature. To learn more, see Cold Wallet Enhanced Console Experience.
Note: Without this feature enabled, flexible routing is not available for Cold Wallet workspaces.
After you set up your Network profile in your hot workspace, you can connect to your CW account. Adding a connection requires approval from your Admin Quorum within each workspace. Once approved, you can transfer assets using the Network connection as a transaction destination.
You can follow the instructions in this article or below to create a Network connection. Keep in mind that you’re making a connection between your own workspaces.
- In your Cold Wallet Fireblocks Console, go to the Network page.
- Find the Network Profile you would like to use and copy the Profile ID. You can use the default channel or create a new one for this specific connection.
- In your Hot Wallet Fireblocks Console, go to the Network page.
- Find the Network Profile you would like to use and select Add Connection.
- Paste your Cold Wallet Network ID in the search bar and select your workspace profile.
- Review the connection details and select Invite connection.
- The Admin Quorum for both workspaces must each approve the connection request before you can send Network transfers from your hot workspace to your CW workspace.
