Note
The enhanced Cold Wallet console experience is currently rolling out to Cold Wallet workspaces. To enable this feature for your workspace, contact your Customer Success Manager.
The enhanced Cold Wallet console provides an improved user experience for managing offline signing and approval requests. This feature also makes it easier to track, filter, and process transactions and configuration changes that require signing with your Cold Wallet mobile device.
What's New
The enhanced console experience introduces:
Unified Recent Activity: All transactions and approval requests that require your offline signature now appear in the Recent Activity panel
Full Transaction Context: View complete transaction details before scanning the QR code
Configuration Change Visibility: Approval requests for workspace configuration changes now appear with full context
Better Filtering: New filter options to quickly find the transactions or approvals you need to sign
Requirements
To use the enhanced Cold Wallet console experience, your workspace must have the enhanced Cold Wallet UI enabled. To enable the enhanced UI, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Improved Transaction Signing Experience
Viewing Transactions That Need Your Signature
Transactions that require offline signing by you now display a QR code icon in the Recent Activity panel.
Before: You had to navigate to a separate Offline Signing panel to find signing requests, with limited context about what you were signing.
Now:
All transactions requiring your signature appear directly in Recent Activity with a QR icon.
To sign a transaction, follow these steps:
Click on the transaction card or QR icon. A dialog will open showing the following information:
Full transaction details (amount, asset, source, destination, fees, etc.)
Transaction status and notes
QR code for scanning with your Cold Wallet mobile app

Confirm: Click Continue after scanning once you've signed on your device.
Transmit the signature: Hold up the QR code displayed on your device to the computer's camera.
Improved Configuration Change Approvals
Viewing Approval Requests
Configuration change approval requests, such as changes to approval groups for creating backups, editing Policies, or managing network connections, now appear in the Recent Activity panel alongside transactions.
Before: Approval requests appeared on workspace owner’s console without sufficient contextual information, making it difficult to understand what you were approving.
Now:
Approval requests appear in Recent Activity of the owner’s console with a description of the change.
If you need to approve offline, a QR icon appears on the card.
To complete an approval request offline, follow these steps:
Click the card to see:
The type of configuration change being requested
Which settings are being modified
Who initiated the request
Who has already approved
Full details of the proposed changes
Scan the QR code to approve on your Cold Wallet mobile device.
Common Approval Types
You may see approval requests for:
User group modifications: Creating and managing user groups in the workspace
Approval group modifications: Updating approval group membership or thresholds
MPC key provisioning: Approving MPC keys for new Signers in the workspace
Network configuration: Adding network connections or setting routing preferences
Filtering and Finding Requests
Using the Type Filter
A new Type filter in the Recent Activity panel helps you quickly find what you're looking for:
Click the Type filter button
Choose:
Transactions: Show only transfer transactions
Approvals: Show only configuration change approval requests
Self-Service Features (Early Availability)
Early Availability: The features described in this section are currently in Early Availability and require coordination with Support or your Customer Success Manager to enable.
The enhanced Cold Wallet console opens the door to several self-service features that previously required support tickets. These features can be enabled for workspaces that meet certain requirements.
Available Self-Service Features
Once enabled, you can manage the following features directly from the Console without opening support tickets:
User and Approval Group Management
Create and manage user groups in the Console
Add users to or delete users from groups
Modify approval group assignments
Change approval thresholds
Policy Editing
Edit your Policy rules directly in the Console
Publish policy changes without requiring owner approval
Changes require approval from Non-Signing Admins instead of the workspace owner
In-House Key Backups
Create in-house backups from the Console
Approval process managed by Non-Signing Admins
Workspace owner still initiates, downloads, and verifies the backup package
Peer-to-Peer Network
Create network profiles and connections from the Console
Set network deposit routing preferences
Changes require approval from Non-Signing Admins
IP Allowlist Management
Add and remove IP addresses from the Console
Manage API access restrictions self-service
How It Works
Self-service features work by removing the mandatory workspace owner approval from specific approval groups and assigning those approval responsibilities to Non-Signing Admin users instead.
This approach is necessary because the Cold Wallet mobile app (which the workspace owner uses) does not yet support all configuration flows. By removing the mandatory owner approval, Non-Signing Admins using the regular Fireblocks mobile app can participate in approvals.
Enabling Self-Service Features
To enable these features for your workspace:
Verify requirements:
Workspace owner device runs Cold Wallet app version 2.1.0 or higher. This update is necessary for the owner’s Cold Wallet app to render the approval requests correctly.
