When your workspace is first created, it already has a Fireblocks Network tab on its left panel, where you can create and access Fireblocks Network profiles. Such profiles allow you to manage Network settings and connections. You can add more profiles for other entities or group connections, but you can also fully manage your connections from your first profile.
Creating a network profile
- Go to Network > Connections.
- Select Create profile.
- On the Get noticed on the network page, enter your company name.
- Select Upload a logo and upload a logo file.
- Select Continue.
- On the Choose how your funds are routed page, select your preferred vault accounts, connected exchange accounts, or connected fiat accounts.
- To allow counterparties to discover you, select Discoverable, otherwise select Not discoverable.
- Select Complete setup on the top right corner.
Editing your Network settings
Your routing policy defines how your Network transactions are routed. You can select one of the three different routing configurations below for each asset type if you want to change the routing setting you originally selected:
- None: Sets your profile or connection level routing to No destination. In this case, you will not be able to receive the assets via a Network connection.
- Custom: Allows you to select your preferred account.
- Default: Sets connection-level routing to the same account that Network profile-level routing uses.
When you first access your Network profile or add a connection you will see that each of the four Network routing types that you can define has its own default settings:
- Network profile crypto routing: Custom, first vault account (“Default”)
- Network profile fiat routing: None
- Network connection crypto routing: Default
- Network connection fiat routing: Default
After creating your Network profile, you can edit it through the profile settings.
Change network profile deposit routing
To change the network profile deposit routing:
- Go to Profile settings. Under Default deposit routing, your originally-selected destinations will show. Your fiat routing will not be available for editing unless you have a connected fiat account.
- Change your routing destinations to the vault accounts or connected Exchange accounts you want to use for Network deposits.
Note:
When selecting Blinc as a routing option, make sure the account you are using as a destination is using the same currency as the one you are receiving from your counter-party, otherwise you will receive an error message.
- Select Save changes.
- An approval via the admin quorum is required. Admin users will receive a push notification on their mobile app, requesting them to approve the change. Until the change is approved, the previous routing remains valid.
This changes your routing at the Network profile level. You can also set specific routing destinations for any Network connection, which would override your profile routing for that specific connection. Learn more about routing by Network connection.
Renaming a Network profile
In the Network page on the left-hand navigation panel of your Fireblocks Console, you can rename any of your Network profiles:
- Select Profile settings on the Network profile you want to configure.
- Hover over the Network Profile name and a pencil
will appear on its right-side. Select the pencil to rename it.
- The Rename Network Profile window then opens. Enter a new name and then select Rename. Note that your workspace name is always the prefix of your profile name. You can only change the words or characters that come after it and you can not include < or > as characters.
- The name automatically changes at the top of your profile.
Deleting a Network profile
- Select Settings on the Network profile you want to delete.
- On the top-right of the Network profile’s page, select Delete profile.
- In the Delete this profile? window, you will see the list of Network connections that you will lose by deleting the profile. Select Delete profile to confirm.
- The profile disappears from your view and you see a popup banner at the bottom of your Console indicating the name of the profile that was just deleted.
- If there are active Smart transfer tickets sent from the Network profile you are trying to delete, you will be notified of active tickets, and will not be able to delete the profile until the tickets are finalized.
