On May 25th, 2022, the Terra community approved a proposal to create a new network, known as Terra 2.0, and rename the previous network to Terra Classic. Since that time, we have been following what appears to be a continuous deterioration in the Terra Classic network’s stability and reliability:
- Unreliable public nodes infrastructure
- Non-central governance leading to sporadic, uncoordinated decision-making regarding upcoming upgrades and changes
- Too frequent changes in the fee structure
- Lack of any technical documentation
We have been monitoring this network closely for more than six months now, and we realize that this chain bears a very high risk of loss of funds and overall instability.
In light of this situation, we have decided to discontinue our support of the Terra Classic blockchain as of August 4th, 2023. After this time, you will no longer have access to this chain from our UI nor API.
We strongly recommend you withdraw all your funds from this blockchain by that time.
After that, you will be able to access and manage your funds via Raw Signing, or recover and load your assets onto a third-party wallet through our backup & recovery kit. However, we recommend that you complete your preparations through our native support prior to the deprecation.
