Overview
When your workspace is first created, it already has a P2P Network tab on its left panel, where you can create and access Fireblocks P2P Network profiles. Such profiles allow you to manage P2P Network settings and connections.
You can add more profiles for other entities or group connections, but you can also fully manage your connections from your first profile.
Create a P2P Network profile
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to P2P Network > Connections and then select Create profile.
- On the Get noticed on the network page, enter your company name.
- Select Upload a logo and upload a logo file.
- Select Continue.
- On the Choose how your funds are routed page, select your preferred vault accounts, connected exchange accounts, or connected fiat accounts.
- To allow counterparties to discover you, select Discoverable; otherwise, select Not discoverable.
- Select Complete setup on the top right corner.
Change P2P Network profile deposit routing
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to P2P Network > Connections.
- Find the profile you want to update, then select Profile settings on the right.
- On the Profile settings page, under the Deposit routing heading, use the Crypto field to select the new account you want to use.
- Select Save.
Rename a P2P Network profile
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to P2P Network > Connections.
- Find the profile you want to update, then select Profile settings on the right.
- On the Profile settings page, hover your pointer on the profile's current name and then select the pencil to edit the profile name. Note that your workspace name is always the prefix of your profile name. You can only change the words or characters that come after it. You can't include < or > as characters.
- Change the profile's name and then select Rename profile.
Delete a P2P Network profile
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to P2P Network > Connections.
- Find the profile you want to update, then select Profile settings on the right.
- On the Profile settings page, select Delete profile at the top-right.
- On the confirmation dialog, select Delete profile.
Important notes about deleting profiles
- Your workspace must always have at least one P2P Network profile. Therefore, the last remaining P2P Network profile in a workspace, or a P2P Network profile that shares the same name as the workspace, can't be deleted. This is because it is assumed to be the default profile.
- Example: If your workspace is named Fireblocks Inc., you may have a profile named "Fireblocks Inc." along with additional profiles like Fireblocks Inc. - One, Fireblocks Inc. - Two, and so on. If you rename the "Fireblocks Inc." profile to any other name, it will no longer be considered the default profile. However, as long as a profile shares the same name as the workspace, it is considered the default and can't be deleted. Similarly, if only one profile remains, that profile is considered the default and can't be deleted.
- All of a profile's connections are deleted as well when the profile is deleted.
- You will not be able to delete a profile if there are active Smart Transfer tickets sent from it. Finalize the associated tickets and then try again.
Using multiple P2P Network profiles
You can have multiple P2P Network profiles for different entities, teams, or strategies. Create them using the instructions above, and then add the appropriate connections to each profile to meet your organization's needs.
