Important
Never uninstall your Fireblocks mobile app unless Fireblocks Support explicitly instructs you to. Uninstalling it removes the signing key from your device. If you are not the workspace Owner, deleting the app requires re-downloading the app and re-enrolling your device as described below. If the Owner uninstalls their app, they must do a Key Share Recovery for Owner’s device.
Overview
When a user in your workspace needs to re-link their mobile device to your workspace, any workspace Admin or the Owner can re-enroll their device from their Fireblocks Console.
A user may need to re-enroll their mobile device in your workspace if they:
- Changed their device's biometric settings
- Uninstalled the Fireblocks app on their device
- Installed the Fireblocks app on a new device
- Forgot the 6-digit pin code they set up for their Fireblocks mobile app
Re-enrolling a mobile device
The workspace Owner and admins can re-enroll any mobile device except for the Owner's device. If there are any other users or workspaces linked to that device, they must all be re-enrolled individually.
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Settings > Users.
- Find the appropriate user, then select More Actions (...) > Re-enroll mobile device.
- An approval request is sent to the workspace Owner.
- After the Owner approves the request, the user can log in to the Console and scan the on-screen QR code using the Fireblocks mobile app.
- The user then follows the setup instructions in the Fireblocks mobile app to re-enroll their device.
If the user has signing privileges, the Owner must re-approve the user's MPC key shares within 5 days (120 hours) of the user re-enrolling their device. Once the Owner approves your new MPC keys on their Fireblocks mobile app, you have 5 days (120 hours) to complete the MPC registration.
Re-enrolling an Owner's mobile device
Contact Fireblocks Support to re-enroll a workspace Owner's mobile device. This includes users who are assigned the Owner role in any other workspace.
