Overview

Fireblocks shows the total balance of all vault accounts on your accounts page. When viewing individual accounts, Fireblocks shows the available balance of each asset wallet.

Asset wallets that support multiple deposit addresses including UTXO-based assets and assets that support tags or memos display the aggregated balance.

Vault account balances

Multiple-address balances

For some blockchains, Fireblocks supports the option to generate multiple deposit addresses for the same asset wallet. Refer to the deposit addresses article to determine which blockchains Fireblocks supports the multiple deposit addresses option. In these cases, Fireblocks displays the accumulated balance of all these addresses.

If you wish to check for the balance of a specific deposit address, use the Get UTXO unspent inputs information endpoint.

Inflow

The inflow balance displays incoming transactions to your Vault that still need to be confirmed. When a transaction appears in inflow, it can then be frozen according to your Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy. If your AML policy does not freeze the transaction, the transaction amount is added to the available balance after the transaction is confirmed according to your Deposit Control & Confirmation Policy.

If the transaction fails, the amount is removed from your balance. Learn more about transaction statuses.

Outflow

When you approve a new transaction from your Vault to an external destination, the transaction amount is subtracted from the available balance and added to the outflow. The transaction amount is removed from the outflow after the transaction is confirmed according to your Deposit Control & Confirmation Policy.

If the transaction fails, the amount returns to its source. Learn more about outgoing transaction statuses.

Frozen

If your workspace has an AML policy, incoming transactions may be automatically frozen according to the policy. Transactions can also be manually frozen via the API. The amount of funds from all frozen transactions is shown here.

Total

The total available amount held in all displayed vault accounts, inflow, outflow, and frozen funds.

Refreshing balances

Vault account balances are updated automatically for:

• Outgoing transactions: After the transaction is approved.
• Incoming transactions: After a recognized transaction is confirmed on the blockchain according to your workspace confirmation policy. Most blockchain networks require one confirmation by default. Learn more about the Deposit Control & Confirmation Policy.

Select Refresh balance when viewing a vault account to refresh all listed asset wallet balances, including all deposit addresses for UTXO-based wallets.

You can also use the Fireblocks API to refresh a specific vault account asset balance.

Exporting balances

Vault account balances, deposit addresses, address balances, and Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) paths can be exported as two separate .csv files.

Export instructions

To export data on all vault accounts:

1. Go to Accounts > Vault.
2. Select Export addresses & balances . You will receive two emails containing links to download the vault balances and vault addresses CSV files.
