Fireblocks maps the assets of supported exchanges to Fireblocks assets automatically, so you don't have to request a mapping before you deposit or withdraw a new asset.
What automatic asset mapping does
To use an exchange asset in Fireblocks, Fireblocks has to match it to the same asset on its own platform. This is called asset mapping. Fireblocks used to do this one asset at a time.
With automatic asset mapping, Fireblocks reads the list of supported assets that the provider returns, uses the contract address of each asset to find the matching Fireblocks asset, and creates the mapping itself. Fireblocks checks the provider's supported assets every 3 hours. Fireblocks maps an asset only when it supports that asset on its own platform.
Which providers use it
Automatic asset mapping is available for Binance and for providers connected through Network Link, including Bybit, Bitget, Gate.io, Whitebit, Independent Reserve, Coinhako, and Bit.
What you see in a connected account
For providers that use automatic asset mapping, the assets in your connected account have no Unmapped badge, because Fireblocks creates the mappings for you. You don't need to submit a mapping request for these providers.
Providers that don't use automatic asset mapping can still show Unmapped assets. For those, see the Unsupported and Unmapped assets article to request a mapping.
If an asset is still not available
- Fireblocks doesn't support the asset. The asset shows the Unsupported badge, and deposits and withdrawals aren't available. You can't request a mapping for an unsupported asset.
- The exchange hasn't added the asset for Fireblocks transfers. For exchanges connected through Network Link, a transaction in that asset fails with an unsupported asset error until the exchange adds support. Contact your Customer Success Manager or the exchange to request it.
