Important
The article is accessible to you as part of our New Policy Engine, which replaces the Transaction Authorization Policy (TAP). We are currently still updating the relevant documentation in the Help Center to reflect the recent changes to our New Policy Engine.
Your Policies don’t cover:
- Transactions between an exchange main account and a sub-account. See sub-account support here.
- Transactions between spot, margin, futures, margined swaps, option, or funding accounts, and associated trading accounts.
- Transactions that convert USD and USDC through Coinbase Pro accounts.
On-chain actions
Some on-chain actions that do not transfer any assets are also not covered by your Policies. This includes:
Web3 interactions
When interacting with smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps), you must sign token approvals, such as Approve transactions or Permit messages, so the third party can move funds on your behalf. If these token allowances are still active, the third-party contract or dApp can control your funds without adhering to your workspace Policies.
