Important
Users must have signing keys to add a wallet. Only users with signing permissions, such as Owners, Admins, and Signers, can create a Solana asset wallet. A Non-Signing Admin role cannot add wallets. If users try to add a wallet without signing keys, an error message “Signer not found” will appear in the Recent activity or Transaction history areas.
Overview
To add and activate a Solana asset wallet in your Fireblocks workspace, you must deposit a minimum balance after creating the wallet. Each additional SPL asset wallet in a vault account also requires a completed on-chain transaction.
Only users with signing permissions, such as Owners, Admins, and Signers, can create an SPL asset wallet. Editors with a designated Signer can't create SPL asset wallets. Learn more about user roles.
Adding a Solana asset wallet to a vault account
To add an SOL asset wallet, complete the following steps:
- Go to Accounts > Vault in your Fireblocks Console.
- Select the vault account to which you want to add the SOL asset wallet.
- Select + Create Wallet.
- In the Add Asset Wallet window, select SOL from the drop-down list. You can also begin typing the asset's name to search for it. You can add only one wallet per asset type per vault account.
- Select Add.
- Deposit a recommended minimum of 0.01 SOL to the asset wallet you just created. You will not be able to add SPL asset wallets to this vault account until this deposit is complete.
- The SOL asset wallet you just created is added to the Solana blockchain.
After the SOL asset wallet is approved and the minimum deposit transaction is completed, you can create SPL asset wallets in this vault account.
