Overview
When you draft Transaction Authorization Policy (TAP) rules, view your active policy, or when Admins review policy changes, you may see error and warning indicators related to issues with your rules. The total of both indicators appears above the TAP Editor's rule list.
Errors
A numbered error indicator at the top of your view means you need to fix one or more parameter fields:
Hover over the error indicator for a specific rule to see its description. Select the tooltip to see details about the users causing the error:
- Initiator: This means there’s no way to match with the rule because it no longer has any valid users listed in its Initiator parameter.
- Approved by: This means either there are no longer any valid approvers or there are not enough valid approvers remaining to meet the rule's threshold.
- Designated Signers: This means the rule's Designated Signer either no longer has a role with signing privileges, or they were disabled.
If you’re in Edit Mode, you can’t submit your request until you resolve all errors.
Warnings
A numbered warning indicator at the top of your view means there may be potential issues with one or more of your TAP rules:
For example, the Policy Editor warns you when you may need to adjust the number of users in a specific field to maintain your current threshold; and when there are user status-related issues, such as when a user has been disabled in the workspace or when a user doesn't have the right permissions for the assigned action.
Hover your pointer over the warning indicator for a specific rule to see its description. Select the tooltip to see details about the users causing the warning.
Clearing errors and warnings
You can clear errors and warnings in two ways:
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Settings > Users and adjust any impacted groups or users' roles.
- Use the Policy Editor to change the impacted rule's users, groups, or thresholds.
After you make your changes, use Edit Mode to verify whether the errors and warnings were cleared.
