Hedera reset considerations
Towards each Hedera testnet reset, Fireblocks will block HBAR_TEST transactions. Following the reset, we will remove all HBAR_TEST asset wallets from client vault accounts. Once we complete our internal maintenance procedures to ensure the testnet is working as expected, HBAR_TEST transactions will be unblocked and can resume as normal.
Following a reset of the Hedera network, you will need to create new HBAR_TEST asset wallets for each vault account.
Stellar reset considerations
The Stellar testnet resets its genesis block every quarter, resetting all on-chain operations. All transactions, accounts, trustlines, offers, and other information are cleared. In light of this, testnet users and developers should not rely on token trustlines or offers to persist through a reset.
For Fireblocks vaults with Stellar testnet asset wallets, you must manually re-create the base XLM_TEST account on-chain after every reset.
To re-create the XLM_TEST account on-chain please follow the steps below -
1. Copy your vault account XLM_TEST deposit address (Deposit Addresses article)
2. Go to Stellar's official website
3. Paste your XLM_TEST deposit address under "Friendbot: Fund a test network account" to initiate the account creation and receive 10k XLM_TEST.
4. For other vaults in your workspace, you can fund them with XLM_TEST using a vault-to-vault transaction or perform the same procedure of account creation via Stellar's "create account" option.
Note:
Previous Stellar token trustlines are not re-created on-chain following a reset. Due to a known limitation, you must use a new vault account to establish new token trustlines between resets.
