Note
Tokenization is a premium feature that requires an additional purchase. If you don’t have access to this feature, contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss having it enabled in your Fireblocks workspace.
Overview
The Tokenization page in the Fireblocks Console allows you to view and manage the lifecycle operations of the tokens you own. On this page, you can mint, burn, and transfer your tokens as well as issue new tokens.
The Tokenization page shows detailed information about your token and a list of vault accounts holding the token.
Supported blockchains and standards
On the Tokenization page, you can view tokens on Stellar, Ripple, and EVM-based blockchains:
- Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM): Each Stellar and Ripple token is represented by a token symbol and an issuer vault account.
- Any EVM blockchain (Ethereum, Polygon, etc.): Each ERC-20 token is represented by a token symbol and a contract address. Other EVM token standards are not currently supported in the Fireblocks Console but are supported in the Fireblocks API.
Tokens list
The Tokenization page shows the tokens you have issued or linked in your workspace. Each token listed on the Tokenization page consists of the following data:
- Name: the token’s name.
- Symbol: the token’s symbol, which is usually a shorter version of the name.
- Blockchain logo: the image of the blockchain you used to mint the token.
- Total supply: the total amount of tokens that have been created or minted.
- Holding: the token’s aggregated balance across all vault accounts.
- Issuer vault: the vault account that issued the token. This only appears for Stellar and Ripple tokens.
- Contract address: the token’s contract address. This only appears for EVM-based tokens.
- Holders: a list of vault accounts holding the token.
Managing tokens
Fireblocks allows you to manage your own tokens throughout their entire lifecycle. On the Tokenization page, you can perform the following operations.
Issue new tokens
You can issue Stellar, Ripple, and EVM tokens on the Tokenization page. Select Add token to issue a new token. Learn more.
Link existing tokens
If you want to manage a previously issued token using the Console and the token does not appear on the Tokenization page, you can link it. Linking an existing token allows you to view and manage it on the Tokenization page.
To link an existing token, complete the following steps:
- On the Tokenization page, select Add token.
- Select Link an existing token.
- Choose the token you want to link, and select Link token.
You can unlink tokens by selecting More actions > Unlink token. Unlinked tokens are delisted from the Tokenization page but you can re-link them at any time.
Mint and burn tokens
You can use your Console to mint and burn tokens listed on the Tokenization page. Select Mint or Burn to mint or burn tokens. Learn more.
Manage smart contracts for EVM-based tokens
You can manage the smart contracts used for your EVM tokens. Select More actions > Manage contract to view and interact with the smart contract’s read and write functions. Learn more.
Add wallets for holding tokens
If there is no asset wallet for a token you have issued, you can add a wallet for the token on the Tokenization page. Select Add wallet to add an asset wallet for the token.
Transfer tokens
You can transfer tokens listed on the Tokenization page. Select Withdraw to transfer the token to another asset wallet in your workspace.
View the token’s address
Select See Deposit Addresses to view the issuer address for Ripple and Stellar tokens or the smart contract address for EVM-based tokens.
