Issue Description
We have recently experienced several cases of spam-based incoming transactions on the TRON network, as sometimes occurs on various networks. If you receive a transaction on TRON through Fireblocks, such transactions may appear in your workspace. These transactions come in two common forms:
- The spammer sends you a very small amount of TRX or a TRC-20 token, usually worth a fraction of a cent.
- The spammer sends you a much larger amount of TRX or a TRC-20 token, but by the spammer’s design, the transaction fails with an “Out of Energy” error.
Resolution
If you encounter spam transactions in your workspace, you may safely ignore them. The spammer’s goal is to familiarize you with their addresses, hoping you accidentally send them funds in the future. As long as you make sure to configure proper destinations for your transfers, your funds are safe.
Fireblocks features like whitelisted addresses and the TAP are designed to help you only send transactions to their intended destinations.
