Overview
Fireblocks provides a comprehensive representation of digital assets within its platform, making it easier for users to identify and manage their assets across multiple blockchain networks. Our updated Fireblocks Console user interface enhances how assets are displayed, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience when interacting with assets. These changes apply in most places where the assets appear in the Console.

Assets in the Fireblocks Console
Tooltip for Mainnet and Testnet assets
Hover your pointer over an asset in the Console and click on the tooltip:
- Name: The name of the asset as it appears on the blockchain.
- Symbol: The ticker symbol for the asset (for example: BTC, ETH, USDC).
- Blockchain: The blockchain network on which the asset operates (for example: Ethereum, Solana).
- Rate: The USD rate of the asset and the last update date of the asset's rate.
- Decimals: The maximum number of decimal places the asset uses (for example: 6 for USDC).
- Standard: The blockchain standard the asset follows (for example: ERC-20).
- On-Chain Contract Address: The contract address for the asset. Not applicable for native assets.
- API ID: The internal Fireblocks ID for the asset.
- Show on explorer: A link to a blockchain explorer for transaction verification and asset details.
The image below shows an example of details that display when clicking on the asset tooltip in the Mainnet environment:
Assets in exchange accounts (legacy)
Assets held in exchange accounts are represented by their symbol only, without their blockchain name. This is because all exchanges group assets by their symbol. You can select an asset and blockchain on the New Transfer window when transferring funds to an exchange account.
For assets held in exchange accounts, no additional asset or blockchain information is available in the Fireblocks Console tooltip.
Virtual assets for connected accounts (beta)
Note
The virtual asset feature is currently in early release. To enable it, contact your Fireblocks Customer Success Manager.
Assets held in exchanges or other connected accounts are often represented by a single balance that can be transferred via multiple blockchain networks. This depends on how each provider identifies assets.
Hover over an asset to view a tooltip with all options that can be transferred from that account. Hover over each listed asset to view additional details. The example below shows USDT virtual assets in a Binance account.
Transferring virtual assets from connected accounts
You can select virtual assets using the new transfer dialog in the Fireblocks Console. When a virtual asset is selected, an additional drop-down menu appears with all available virtual asset networks. Select the asset you would like to transfer and its blockchain. Then submit and sign the transaction as usual.
Blockchain Console functionality
The updated user interface enhances the visibility of blockchain networks within the Console, offering key features like essential properties and integrated explorer links for tracking transactions and searching addresses.
Blockchain tooltip
Hover your pointer over a blockchain symbol in the Console and click on the tooltip to show the following information:
- Name: The name of the blockchain (for example: Ethereum, Solana).
- Protocol: The protocol used by the blockchain (for example: EVM, SOL).
- Native asset: The native asset of the blockchain (for example: ETH for Ethereum, BTC for Bitcoin).
- Chain ID: The unique ID of the blockchain in Fireblocks.
- API ID: Fireblocks' unique identifier for the blockchain.
-
Open explorer: A link to a blockchain explorer for transaction verification.
Blockchain warning notifications for assets
Irregular blockchain activity is highlighted in the New Transfer dialog when interacting with affected assets. There are two status notifications:
- Network warning: The blockchain network performance is degraded, and transactions take a while to process. Incoming transactions may be delayed or not appear. Outgoing transactions may take longer than expected.
- Network blocked: The blockchain network is down, and currently transactions are not being processed. If a blockchain is down, you cannot submit new transactions with any assets on that blockchain until it is available again. The Withdraw and Deposit buttons in the Console are disabled for all relevant assets, and the asset tooltip includes a warning.
Blockchain status notifications are limited but will soon be available to all customers. Contact your Fireblocks Customer Success Manager to request early access.
Enhanced Recent activity panel
In addition to the locations described above, you can now view more information about an asset and blockchain when inspecting a transaction’s details on the top-left of the Recent activity panel.
