Overview
By connecting your ByBit account to Fireblocks, you can:
- View your assets and balances in your ByBit main account, transfer assets to and from any available location, and track transaction statuses in the Fireblocks Console.
- Use your Fireblocks Transaction History as a unified auditing layer for all transactions.
- Use the Fireblocks API as a single API syntax for cross-exchange balance checks and transfers.
- Transfer funds between your ByBit account and Fireblocks vault accounts, whitelisted addresses, Fireblocks Network connections, and other integrated exchange accounts.
- Use the Fireblocks Transaction Authorization Policy to control how transactions are approved within your workspace.
Important
ByBit has set its Funding account as its main internal trading account, so make sure that when you want to withdraw your funds from the exchange, you transfer them to the Funding account first
Configuring your ByBit account
To configure your ByBit account to connect to Fireblocks:
- Refer to the ByBit.com API Documentation to learn how to generate an API key.
- When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Fireblocks.”
- After you confirm the validity of your new API key, copy and keep a record of both the API Key and API Secret. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- In ByBit, make sure you toggle the Withdrawal option in the Withdrawal Security section.
- Under IP addresses, delete the 0.0.0.0 address and then add the following IP address: 52.76.208.129.
Configuring Fireblocks
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Exchanges.
- Select + Connect Account.
- Select ByBit, select Main Account, and then complete the following fields:
-
- Name on Fireblocks: Enter the name you want to give this exchange account on Fireblocks.
- API Key: Enter the API key that you saved from ByBit.
- API Secret: Enter the Secret key that you saved from ByBit.
- Select Connect Account.
Note:
The "+ Connect Account" is relevant only if you have an existing exchange account connected to Fireblocks and would like to add another one. If this is your first exchange account connection, add it by selecting "Connect Account" under the Exchanges tab.
The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.
Your ByBit account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following Admin Quorum approval, transfers are available from your vault accounts, whitelisted addresses, Fireblocks Network connections, and other connected exchange accounts to your ByBit account.
