Configuring your KuCoin account
To configure your KuCoin account to connect to Fireblocks:
- Refer to the KuCoin.com API Documentation to learn how to generate an API key.
- When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Fireblocks.”
- Copy and keep a record of your API Passphrase. You will need it when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- After you confirm the validity of your new API key, copy and keep a record of both the API Key and API Secret. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- Make sure you enable the following API Restrictions:
- General
- Trade
- Transfer
- Under IP restrictions:
- Enable Yes.
- Add 52.76.208.129.
Configuring Fireblocks
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Exchanges.
- Select + Connect Account.
- Select KuCoin, select Main Account, and then complete the following fields:
-
- Name on Fireblocks: Enter the name you want to give this exchange account on Fireblocks.
- API Key: Enter the API key that you saved from KuCoin.
- API Secret: Enter the API Secret that you saved from KuCoin.
- API Passphrase: Enter the API Passphrase that you created in KuCoin.
- Select Connect Account.
Note:
- The "+ Connect Account" is relevant only if you have an existent exchange account connected to Fireblocks and would like to add another one. If this is your first exchange account connection, add it by selecting "Connect Account" under the Exchanges tab.
- In the KuCoin exchange, we support two API account types which correspond to the following Console counterparts:
- Trade (UI) = SPOT (API)
- Main (UI) = FUNDABLE (API)
The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.
Your KuCoin account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following Admin Quorum approval, transfers are available from your vault accounts, whitelisted addresses, Fireblocks Network connections, and other connected exchange accounts to your KuCoin account.
