Overview
Connecting a BLINC account allows you to send, receive, and manage fiat currency directly from your Fireblocks workspace.
BLINC accounts can hold and transfer:
- Euro (EUR)
- Swiss franc (CHF)
- British pound sterling (GBP)
- Canadian dollar (CAD)
- Singapore dollar (SGD)
- Japanese yen (JPY)
Notes:
- We support the BLINC test environment. To select it, go to Fiat > + Connect Account > BLINC Test.
- Each fiat currency requires a separate BLINC account. You can connect multiple BLINC accounts to your workspace.
Before you begin
Make sure you have an active BLINC account before you continue the connection process. Then contact BCB Support and request your BLINC account API subscription token. The BCB Support team will guide you through the consent process and provide your subscription token.
Adding a BLINC account to your workspace
To add your BLINC account to your workspace:
- Go to Accounts > Fiat.
- Select + Connect Account.
- On the Connect Fiat Account dialog, select BLINC.
- Complete the following fields:
- Name on Fireblocks: Enter the name you want to give the BLINC account in your workspace.
- Subscription Token: Enter the token you received from BLINC Support.
- BLINC Account ID: Enter your BLINC Account ID number.
- Select Connect Account.
The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers in your workspace.
Transferring funds with BLINC
After you connect your BLINC account to your Fireblocks workspace, you can transfer BLINC funds to exchanges that support BLINC assets and whitelisted BLINC addresses. All transfers to and from your connected BLINC accounts will appear in the Recent activity panel and your Transaction History.
Managing BLINC assets
Go to Assets in the Fireblocks Console to manage all BLINC assets you control. This includes BLINC assets you currently hold in supported exchange accounts.
Whitelisting BLINC account addresses
BLINC wallet IDs can be whitelisted like any other external address. Whitelisted addresses are useful for transferring funds to counterparties that are not connected via the Fireblocks Network.
Follow the instructions to create a new whitelisted wallet, then continue with the steps below.
- Open the Fireblocks Console in your browser, and access the Whitelisted Addresses page.
- Select a wallet from the list to add a new whitelisted address to that wallet.
- Select + Whitelisted Address in the top right-hand corner. If the wallet is empty, select Add Address in the center of the page.
- Select the Asset.
- Enter the BLINC Account ID.
- Enter the Bank Transfer Description. The bank transfer description can be any plain text and is required.
- Select Submit for Approval.
- The admin quorum must approve the new whitelisted address before transfers may be sent to it from your workspace.
