Fiat funds can be sent to counterparties seamlessly with Fireblocks, similar to transferring any other digital asset.
Transferring fiat funds to a counterparty
Network connections
You can easily transfer funds through the Fireblocks Network if your counterparty has a fiat account of the same bank and currency connected to their Fireblocks workspace.
Exchanges
We are currently working on adding support for integrated fiat transfers for some exchange connections via BLINC, such as Bitstamp, Coinbase Pro, HTX, Kraken (and Kraken International). At the moment, transfers to all exchanges can be made using address whitelisting, as described below.
Withdrawing fiat
Sending fiat from the console
To send funds to a counterparty from the console, you can withdraw or create a new transfer as with any other new transaction.
Sending fiat via the API
To send fiat via the API, first whitelist a new account number by adding the account number to an Internal Wallet (My Wallet) or an External Wallet.
Note
The account number must be passed in the address field and the (optional) transfer description in the tag field.
To transfer funds, call the Create a New Transaction endpoint.
Note
The Source Type of the transaction should be set as FIAT_ACCOUNT and the source ID should be the unique ID of the fiat account on Fireblocks, which you can find by viewing all your fiat accounts.
