Overview
The address whitelist suspension property, also known as the address whitelist cool-off period, is an optional workspace security feature. It determines the length of time in which transactions cannot be sent to recently added whitelisted internal and external wallet addresses. In conjunction with the Admin Quorum's approval of the address, this helps to mitigate the risk of a rogue employee moving funds to a suspicious location.
The default value is 0 (no suspension period). Admin-level users can set the value in hours or days from the workspace settings. Changes to this value require approval by the Admin Quorum.
When you attempt to send a transaction to an address during its cool-off period, it fails and presents the following status and substatus:
- Status: Failed
- Substatus: ADDRESS_WHITELISTING_SUSPENDED
Enabling the address whitelist suspension property
Admin-level users can set this value. In the Console, select Settings > General > Address whitelist suspension, then enter the value in hours or days. This change requires Admin Quorum approval. To disable the feature, enter 0 to reset the value.
