Configuring your Liquid account
To configure your Liquid account to connect to Fireblocks:
- Refer to the Liquid.com API Documentation to learn how to generate an API Token.
- When prompted to do so, name your new API Token “Fireblocks.”
- After you confirm the validity of your new API Token, copy and keep a record of both the Token ID and Token Secret. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- Make sure you check the following options:
- Accounts: Read
- Trading accounts: Read & Write
- If you want to enable withdrawals:
- Check Withdrawals: Read & Write
- Provide an OTP Secret and keep record of it, as you will need it when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- If you want to add Fireblocks IP addresses to your Liquid API account IP Whitelist, add the following IP address: 52.76.208.129.
Configuring Fireblocks
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Exchanges.
- Select + Connect Account.
- Select Liquid, and then complete the following fields:
- Name on Fireblocks: Enter the name you want to give this exchange account on Fireblocks.
- Token ID: Enter the Token ID that you saved from Liquid.
- Token Secret: Enter the Token Secret that you saved from Liquid.
- OTP Secret: Enter the OTP secret that you saved from Liquid, if you chose to enable withdrawals.
- Select Connect Account.
Note:
The "+ Connect Account" is relevant only if you have an existent exchange account connected to Fireblocks and would like to add another one. If this is your first exchange account connection, add it by selecting "Connect Account" under the Exchanges tab.
The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.
Your Liquid account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following Admin Quorum approval, transfers are available from your vault accounts, whitelisted addresses, Fireblocks Network connections, and other connected exchange accounts to your Liquid account.
Enabling withdrawals from Liquid
To enable exchange account withdrawals, see this procedure.
Known limitations
Prior to transferring digital assets to a Liquid exchange account from your Fireblocks workspace, please make sure that the asset’s balance in the Liquid exchange account is greater than zero. This transfer might fail on the exchange otherwise.
If an asset is supported by Liquid on multiple blockchains, Fireblocks can only support the asset’s default blockchain according to Liquid’s definition. Typically Liquid’s default blockchain implementation for an asset is the first blockchain listed in the Network column documented in Supported Assets in Liquid Multi-chain. However, Fireblocks recommends that all customers verify the default blockchain implementation for each multi-chain asset by contacting Liquid’s Support.
