Configuring your Kraken or Kraken International account

To configure your Kraken or Kraken International account to connect to Fireblocks:

1. Refer to the Kraken.com API Documentation to learn how to generate an API key.
2. When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Fireblocks.”
3. Copy and keep a record of both the API Key and Private Key. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
4. Set the Nonce Window to 10,000.
5. Enable all Key Permissions for Funds:
   • Query Funds
   • Deposit Funds
   • Withdraw Funds.
6. If using Kraken in conjunction with our Payments feature to convert assets, enable these additional permissions:
   • Query open orders & trades
   • Query closed orders & trades
   • Create & modify orders
   • Cancel & close orders.
7. Optionally, whitelist the following IP addresses: 40.117.39.160, 40.87.67.58, 52.76.208.129

Configuring Fireblocks

1. In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Connected accounts.
2. Select + Connect Account.
3. Select Kraken or Kraken International.
   Note: Kraken International is a legal entity of Kraken outside of the USA. The selection depends on your organization's country of origin.
4. Complete the following fields:
   1. Name on Fireblocks: Enter the name you want to give this exchange account on Fireblocks.
   2. API Key: Enter the API key that you saved from Kraken or Kraken International.
   3. Private Key: Enter the Private key that you saved from Kraken or Kraken International.
   4. Select Connect Account.

The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.

Your Kraken or Kraken International account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following Admin Quorum approval, transfers are available from your vault accounts, whitelisted addresses, Fireblocks P2P Network connections, and other connected exchange accounts to your Kraken or Kraken International account.

Kraken or Kraken international sub-accounts

Kraken Futures

Kraken Futures accounts function similarly to regular Kraken main accounts, but with a different API key. Once you connect a Kraken main account, you can link a Spot or Futures Kraken account. Once a Kraken Futures account is connected to your workspace, you can connect Kraken Futures sub-accounts.
