You can select multiple positions on the Staking page and unstake, withdraw, consolidate, or merge them in one step, instead of acting on each position one at a time.
What bulk staking actions do
Bulk staking actions let you select positions on the Staking page and run the same action on all of them from a single confirmation dialog. You can select positions across vault accounts and staking providers, review the total amount, and confirm once.
The approval and signing flow doesn't change. Your Policy rules and approvals apply as they do for a single position, and the mobile app flow is the same.
Actions you can run in bulk
The actions available in the action bar depend on the asset you selected on the Staking page:
- Solana (SOL): Unstake, Withdraw, and Merge.
- Ethereum (ETH): Withdraw and Consolidate.
- Polygon (MATIC or POL): Unstake, Withdraw, and Withdraw rewards.
- Liquid staking ETH: Unstake and Withdraw.
- Cosmos: Withdraw.
An action is available only when every selected position can perform it. For the statuses in which a position can be unstaked or withdrawn, see the Staking statuses and available actions article.
Run an action on multiple positions
- On the Staking page, select the tab of the asset.
- Select the checkbox of each position you want to include. An action bar appears and shows how many positions are selected.
- (Optional) To select every other position that supports the same actions as your selection, select Select similar. The number in parentheses shows how many positions it adds.
- In the action bar, select the action. Actions that your selection can't perform are unavailable.
- In the dialog, review the selected positions and the total amount.
- (Optional) Select + Add note to add a note to the transactions.
- Confirm the action, and then approve and sign the transactions as you normally would.
Fireblocks shows a confirmation message when the action is triggered and opens the Recent activity panel, where you can follow the transactions. To clear your selection, select Clear in the action bar.
Rules for selecting positions
- Same action: You can select a position only if it supports an action that your other selected positions also support. If a position doesn't match, its checkbox is unavailable and a tooltip explains why, for example that its status doesn't match the selected position.
- One asset at a time: Your selection is cleared when you switch to another asset tab.
- Selection limit: The Console limits how many positions you can select at once. When you reach the limit, the remaining checkboxes are unavailable and a tooltip shows the maximum.
- New ETH positions: Legacy ETH validators created in the last 24 hours can't be selected for bulk actions.
Consolidate ETH positions or merge SOL positions
Consolidate and Merge combine two positions into one, so they work on exactly two selected positions.
- Consolidate (ETH): Select two positions. At least one must be a compounding validator, because you consolidate into a compounding position. You can consolidate from a legacy position, but you can't consolidate two legacy positions. The dialog shows the source (From) and the destination (Into). To reverse them, select Swap source and destination.
- Merge (SOL): Select two stake accounts that use the same validator address and belong to the same vault account.
For the full eligibility rules, status changes, and the 30-day display period of the original position, see the Staking ETH and Staking SOL articles.
If some positions fail
When you unstake or withdraw several positions and some of them fail, Fireblocks shows how many failed out of the total and opens the Recent activity panel. The dialog stays open with only the failed positions, so you can review them and try again. If all positions fail, an error message appears.
