Address Registry can generate a PDF confirming that a registered address belongs to your legal entity. Use it when a regulator, auditor, or counterparty asks for written confirmation of address ownership instead of an on-chain proof.
This is available only through the Console, not the API. You need Address Registry enabled in your workspace, and you can only export this for addresses registered to your own legal entity, not a counterparty's.
Export the document
- Go to Policies > Address Registry.
- Look up the address.
- Select Download PDF as proof of ownership.
What it contains
- The address itself
- The registry owner
- Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) data, or a note that none is disclosed
- Jurisdiction of registration
- The date and time of the query
- Verification data: an export ID, a verification hash, and how long the verification remains available
The document includes an attestation confirming it is an export of a live Address Registry API response, and that the registry owner controlled the address as of the query date. It is self-sufficient: a recipient can confirm it using the attestation, export ID, and verification hash on their own, without contacting Fireblocks.
You can share it with third parties as proof of ownership. It is valid for up to a year from the query date, unless Fireblocks or the registry owner revokes it sooner.
Limitations
This document confirms which legal entity registered the address as of the query date. It is not on-chain proof of control, and it is not a legal opinion on ownership. If a recipient needs more than the document itself, contact Fireblocks support; Fireblocks can verify an export for up to 12 months from the query date shown on it.
