Overview
Lynq is a platform that supports transfers of TFND and USD balances for firms connected to its network. As a Fireblocks user, you can connect your firm’s Lynq account to your Fireblocks workspace to enable account visibility and supported transfers.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Lynq to Fireblocks, ensure that:
- Your firm has an active Lynq account, and it is enabled to use Lynq via Fireblocks.
- The owner of this account has set up the password and MFA using the email sent by Lynq.
Configuring your Lynq account
To generate API credentials for connecting Lynq to Fireblocks:
- In your Lynq portal, create a new API connection.
- Select Fireblocks API from the list of API Connection options
- Submit the request to generate credentials.
- Copy the API Key and API Secret provided.
If the menu names or steps differ in your Lynq portal, follow Lynq’s documentation or contact their support for the equivalent flow.
Configuring Fireblocks
To connect Lynq to your Fireblocks workspace:
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Connected accounts.
- Select Connect Account.
- Select Lynq (or Lynq UAT for testnet workspaces).
- Complete the following fields:
- API Key: Enter the Key generated in Lynq.
- API Secret: Enter the Secret generated in Lynq.
- Select Connect Account.
- Your Admin Quorum must approve the new connection before it can be used for transfers.
After approval, the Lynq accounts appear in your workspace as separate TFND and USD fiat accounts.
Making an external transfer
To transfer to another Lynq user from Fireblocks:
- First connect with the recipient through the Fireblocks P2P Network.
- When initiating the transfer, toggle Profile Routing off. This enables routing to external addresses (labeled Peer Transfer).
- Select the relevant asset: TFND.
Supported assets
- TFND: Transfers supported both within the same workspace and across different Fireblocks workspaces via P2P.
- USD: Transfers supported only between Lynq accounts within the same Lynq firm (accounts which reside under the same API key).
