What is Travel Rule Support?

Travel Rule Support (TRSupport) is an advanced compliance platform that provides you with complete control over how cryptocurrency transactions are screened for Travel Rule compliance. Unlike traditional integrations with fixed rules, TRSupport offers a flexible three-stage policy framework that you can customize to match your specific compliance requirements, risk tolerance, and operational needs.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommended the Travel Rule to combat money laundering and terrorist trafficking activity. The rule requires Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) to exchange information about transaction originators and beneficiaries. Each jurisdiction determines specific thresholds and data requirements.

Important

Fireblocks does not permanently store Travel Rule transaction data. All Travel Rule data is encrypted and stored with Travel Rule providers, if needed. Fireblocks does not hold the decryption keys.

Your three-stage policy control

TRSupport processes transactions through three configurable policy stages:

Screening Policy: Decides which transactions require Travel Rule screening
Missing Travel Rule Message (TRM) Policy: Handles scenarios when TRMs are unavailable
Post-screening Policy: Determines final outcomes based on screening results

Supported assets

TRSupport supports all assets listed on CoinMarketCap, which are also supported by Fireblocks. Test network assets include:
