Overview
EDX Markets is a US-based exchange with a central clearinghouse and a single net settlement process for spot trading digital assets. Accounts with either entity are supported in Fireblocks.
Configuring your EDX account
To connect your EDX account to Fireblocks:
- In your EDX portal, create an API application.
- Give the application a name (e.g., Fireblocks).
- Select the MEMBER_APP_TREASURY_MANAGEMENT permission scope.
- Submit the application.
- Copy the Client ID and Client Secret shown.
If the menu names or steps differ in your portal, follow EDX’s documentation or contact their support for the equivalent flow.
Configuring Fireblocks
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Connected accounts.
- Select + Connect Account.
- Select EDX Markets (or EDX Markets UAT for testnet workspaces), and then complete the following fields:
- API Key: Enter the Client ID that you received from EDX.
- API Secret: Enter the Client Secret that you received from EDX.
- Select Connect Account.
The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new orders from your workspace.
Your EDX account appears on the connected accounts page with all managed assets and their balances. Following Admin Quorum approval.
Enabling withdrawals
To initiate withdrawals successfully, EDX Markets requires whitelisting of destination (withdrawal) wallet addresses. Steps on how to do this are below:
- Submit EDX Markets SSI Wallet Whitelist Form to EDX Markets.
- Complete whitelisting and verification call with EDX Markets.
Once these steps are complete, you can initiate transfers (deposits and withdrawals) from the Fireblocks console as needed.
