Overview
Labs is a dedicated hub in the Fireblocks Console that lets you explore and enable experimental features before they become generally available. Access cutting-edge tools and streamline your workflow as we develop new capabilities. Participation is optional and all features are turned off until you decide to try them.
Enabling Labs
Fireblocks Labs is automatically available in every workspace and is displayed under Settings. If you don’t see Labs, contact Fireblocks support to enable it.
What you’ll see in Labs
The Labs page lists experimental features as cards. Each card explains what the feature does, where it will appear in your console, the benefits it offers, and any potential risks. You can turn the feature on or off for your entire workspace, and give feedback to share your experience. Only Workspace Owners can enable features or request access for all users in the workspace.
Fireblocks dynamically updates Labs as features evolve. The list may vary between workspaces.
How to enable or disable a feature
- Open Labs: Owners can navigate to Settings in the Fireblocks console and select Labs.
- Review the feature: Read the description, including the benefits and risks. Make sure you understand where the feature will appear in the Console.
-
Enable or disable the feature: Use the switch on the right side of the card to enable or disable the feature for your entire workspace. Turning it on will make the feature visible in the relevant part of the console for all workspace users.
- Some features may require requesting access instead of a switch. In this case, you will be notified once access is granted.
- Turning a feature off will hide it immediately.
-
Confirm the change: A message will confirm whether enablement was successful. If it fails, wait a moment and try again.
Requesting access to Labs features
When an owner requests access to a specific feature, a product manager checks the workspace for compatibility and enables the feature for the workspace. Features that have been enabled can be turned on or off in the Fireblocks Console.
Providing feedback
Your experience with Labs features helps improve them before full release. After you’ve enabled a feature and tried it out, let us know more about your experience. Admins and Owners can send feedback.
- Select Give feedback on the card.
- Describe your experience. Share what worked well, what could be improved, and any issues you encountered.
- Select I’m willing to talk with the Fireblocks product team to share more if you’d like to participate in further research.
- Select Send feedback. Your comments are sent directly to the product team via an internal channel.
Audit log
Every time a feature is enabled or disabled, Fireblocks automatically records an entry in your workspace’s Audit log. The entry includes the user’s name, the feature toggled, and the time of the change. You can view these entries by going to Settings > Audit log. This provides a clear record of who enabled or disabled features for compliance and accountability purposes.
Things to consider
- Experimental: Labs features have not yet reached general availability and may contain bugs or performance issues. Only enable them if you’re comfortable testing unfinished software.
- Workflow disruption: These features are still being refined and might affect critical workflows. If you experience any issues, disable the feature and report the problem.
- Expectation management: Labs features will change based on user feedback. Don’t rely on them for production‑critical tasks until they graduate from Labs.
- Opt‑in control: You can disable a feature at any time. Features remain completely inactive until deliberately enabled.
