Withdrawing from an exchange to a vault

Withdrawing funds from your exchange account to your vault account consists of the following stages:

By performing a withdrawal request on the Fireblocks platform, you instruct the exchange to move your funds from your account on the exchange platform to your Fireblocks vault account.
You approve (but NOT sign!) the withdrawal request on your mobile device (in accordance with your Transaction Approval Policy). Approval, and not signing, is needed here since the source of the funds is the exchange, and not your own wallet.
The exchange broadcasts the transaction to the blockchain.

Depositing to an exchange from a vault

Depositing funds from your exchange account into your vault account consists of the following stages:

By performing a deposit request on the Fireblocks platform, you instruct Fireblocks to send the funds from your Fireblocks vault account to your exchange account.
You sign the deposit transaction on your mobile device via our MPC-CMP secure signature mechanism. Signing is required here since the source of the funds is your own wallet.
Fireblocks broadcasts the transaction to the blockchain.
