Overview
Fireblocks supports Kraken and Kraken international sub-accounts via exchange connectivity. Connect the exchange, and rebalance securely between your exchange's main account and sub-accounts on Fireblocks.
Important
- If you already have a Kraken or Kraken international sub-account connected to this workspace, you must remove it and then reconnect it.
- If you have a Kraken or Kraken international main account connected, you may need to remove it if the email field was left blank.
Configuring your Kraken or Kraken international sub-accounts
To configure your Kraken or Kraken international sub-account to connect to Fireblocks:
- Refer to Kraken.com API Documentation for instructions on how to create a sub-account.
- When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Fireblocks.”
- Copy and keep a record of both the API Key and Secret Key. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
Configuring Fireblocks
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Exchanges.
- Select + Connect Account.
-
Select Kraken, select Sub account, and then complete the following fields:
- Name on Fireblocks: Enter the name you want to give this exchange account on Fireblocks.
- API Key: Enter the API key that you saved from Kraken or Kraken International.
- Private Key: Enter the Private key that you saved from Kraken or Kraken International.
- Select Connect Account.
The admin quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.
Your Kraken sub-account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following admin quorum approval, transfers will be available between this sub-account and its Kraken main account.
