Overview

Fireblocks supports Deribit sub-accounts via exchange connectivity. Connect the exchange, and rebalance securely between your exchange's main account and sub-accounts on Fireblocks.

Configuring your Deribit sub-accounts

To configure your Deribit sub-account to connect to Fireblocks:

1. Refer to the Deribit.com API Documentation for instructions on how to create a sub-account.
2. When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Fireblocks.”
3. After you confirm the validity of your new API key, copy and keep a record of both the Access Key and Access Secret. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
4. When creating the new key, make sure you toggle these options as follows:
   1. Account: read_write
   2. Block trade: none
   3. Trade: read
   4. Wallet: read_write

Configuring Fireblocks

1. In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Exchanges.
2. Select + Connect Account.
3. Select Deribit, select the Sub account tab, and then follow these steps:
   1. Account Name: Enter the name you want to give this exchange sub-account in your workspace.
   2. Select the main account you want to connect to this sub-account. Remember, your main account must be connected to Fireblocks before you can connect a sub-account.
   3. Access Key: Enter the same Access key which you entered in the Configuring Fireblocks section above.
   4. Access Secret: Enter the same Access secret which you entered in the Configuring Fireblocks section above.
   5. Two-Factor Token: Enter the same 2FA token which you entered in the Configuring Fireblocks section above.
   6. Select Connect Account.

The Admin Quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.

Your Deribit sub-account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following Admin Quorum approval, transfers will be available between this sub-account and its Deribit main account.
