Overview
Fireblocks supports Bitfinex sub-accounts via exchange connectivity. Connect the exchange, and rebalance securely between your exchange's main account and sub-accounts on Fireblocks.
Important
- If you already have a Bitfinex sub-account connected to this workspace, you must remove it and then reconnect it.
- If you have a Bitfinex main account connected, you may need to remove it if the email field was left blank.
Configuring your Bitfinex sub-accounts
To configure your Bitfinex sub-account to connect to Fireblocks:
- Refer to Bitfinex.com API Documentation for instructions on how to create a sub-account.
- When presented with them, enable the following toggles:
- Account info (top toggle only)
- Account history
- Wallets (for both toggles)
- Withdraw
- When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Fireblocks.”
- Copy and keep a record of both the API Key and Secret Key. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
Configuring Fireblocks
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Accounts > Exchanges.
- Select + Connect Account.
-
Select Bitfinex, select Sub account, and then complete the following fields:
- Account name: Enter the Account Name you want to give this exchange sub-account on Fireblocks.
- Select the main account you want to connect to this sub-account. Remember, your main account must be connected to Fireblocks before you can connect a sub-account.
- API key: Enter the API key that you saved from Bitfinex.
- Secret Key: Enter the Secret key that you saved from Bitfinex.
- Email: Enter the same email account you used to register your Bitfinex account.
- Select Connect Account.
The admin quorum must approve the new account to make it available for new transfers from your workspace.
Your Bitfinex sub-account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Following admin quorum approval, transfers will be available between this sub-account and its Bitfinex main account.
