Based on industry practice specific to Sandbox and Testnet workspaces, Fireblocks uses "1" as the coin type for all path derivations, regardless of the Testnet protocol or chain involved. As a result, a corresponding Mainnet wallet derived from the workspace's extended private key ("xPRV" or "fPRV") with the same account index and change index yields a different wallet address.
This affects your ability to:
- Use Testnet faucets that require a corresponding Mainnet wallet (with the same address) to show activity or Mainnet balances
- Use the Fireblocks Vault Key Derivation Tool unmodified with Disaster Recovery Kits (DRKs) generated from Sandbox or Testnet workspaces
Note that the Fireblocks Recovery Utility does support Testnet DRKs.
