In order to properly manage your account and accurately estimate your upcoming bills, you must understand how to calculate your platform’s usage. At Fireblocks, we measure usage across a variety of metrics to ensure that your service charges are calculated accurately, and represented with full transparency. Following is an overview of the components included in our billing system.
Note:
Bear in mind that the way your particular usage is calculated per your specific contract is documented in your order forms.
Outgoing transaction volume
This includes the dollar value of all transactions from any of your vault accounts to an address outside your vault, except those occurring between workspaces under the same subscription. We track these transactions as they are a primary indicator of your activity on our platform.
Transaction count
We sum up the total number of outgoing external transactions from your account (not including transactions between your own workspaces). This count provides a straightforward measure of your transactional activity, helping you and us keep a clear record of your operations.
Assets under custody (AUC)
This metric includes all assets held in workspace vaults across your subscription. AUC is calculated daily in USD at midnight UTC, providing a consistent snapshot of assets under your management.
Workspace users
Only users who have reached the “pending approval” status are counted. API users, disabled users and disabled workspaces are not counted. This ensures that only active, human participants in your operations are included in your usage metrics.
Non-custodial wallets
We track all active non-custodial wallets associated with your account.
Vault accounts
We consider any account used in one or more transactions during your subscription period, or holding a wallet with $1,000 or more.
Note:
We only calculate usage based on mainnet activity. Transactions or activities on testnets are not counted as billable usage.
