When you receive an NFT, Fireblocks analyzes it for characteristics commonly associated with spam, such as:
- Low-value or mass-produced collections.
- Unverified creators or marketplaces.
- Repetitive or nonsensical metadata.
- Suspicious transaction patterns.
If the NFT exhibits enough spam indicators, it's automatically marked as spam and hidden from your NFT Library. All NFTs in the same collection are also hidden to prevent further exposure. Incoming spam NFTs are excluded from the Recent activity panel and do not trigger webhook notifications.
You can also manually mark NFTs as spam, individually or in bulk. Select the checkbox in the top-right corner of each NFT you want to mark as spam, then select Mark as spam. This action is specific to the selected NFTs only and doesn’t affect the other NFTs in those collections. The Audit Log tracks when you manually mark NFTs as spam or not spam.
To transfer an NFT marked as spam, you must unhide the NFT.
Note
If you receive spam NFTs that aren't automatically detected, please manually mark them as spam to help improve our spam filter.
