After you set up your Network profile, you can connect to other members of the Fireblocks Network. Adding a connection requires approval from your Admin Quorum, as well as your counterparty’s Admin Quorum.
Once approved, you can exchange crypto or fiat assets with that connection. To exchange fiat, both you and your connection must have corresponding fiat accounts with BCB BLINC linked to your workspaces. The Network tab in the navigation panel shows all your connected counterparties.
Inviting a Network member to connect
- Go to Network and select Add connection on the specific network profile you want to use.
- Select the member you want to connect to from the Add Network Connection dialog.
- To add members who are not discoverable, you must ask them privately for their Network ID and use it to find them.
- If you want to set a custom deposit routing destination for your new connection, follow the steps in the following section. If you want deposits to go to the same destination as your Network profile’s default destination, select Invite to Connect without selecting a custom destination.
Configuring deposit routing for a Fireblocks Network connection
When you are adding a new Fireblocks Network connection, you can configure a custom deposit routing destination for that connection using Flexible Network Routing.
- In the Invite a Network Connection window, toggle off the default profile routing. Once done, the profile will become editable.
- Select an account from the dropdown menu. Otherwise, default routing for the Network profile applies. For each connection, you can route all crypto deposits to:
- A specific vault account in your workspace
- A specific exchange account in your workspace
- Select Invite to Connect.
- Your Admin Quorum and counterparty must both approve the new connection request before you can exchange funds with that connection. Until they approve, that connection will show with a yellow status in the Network Profile.
- To see which Admins have approved and who can still approve for you to meet your Admin Quorum, select the banner.
Pending connection requests
After a request is submitted, Admins receive a notification on their Fireblocks mobile app that a new connection is pending approval. They can approve based on your workspace Admin Quorum settings. The requester’s Admin Quorum must approve before the receiving party is notified.
Viewing pending connection requests
- On the Network page, select Connection Requests.
- Select the Sent or Received tab to view pending connection requests.
- Select Dismiss to remove a pending connection request.
