Canceling a ticket is possible both via our Console and API, including the intermediary use case. There are certain scenarios in which you can cancel your pending ticket:
- If neither you nor your connection funded the ticket, either of you can cancel it.
- If either you or your connection funded it, only the funding party can cancel it.
- Note that if only one of you funded the ticket, canceling it will NOT result in return of the funds.
Note
To cancel the ticket in the UI, the issuing party needs to select Cancel, whereas the receiving party needs to select Reject.
To cancel a ticket:
- Go to Network > Smart Transfers > Active tickets.
- Select the particular pending ticket you wish to cancel.
- In the two-way ticket window that opens, select Cancel ticket on the upper-right side.
