Overview
Funding transfers are similar to any other type of transfer and do not require their own TAP rules.
As long as a ticket is in funding mode, from initiation to completion, it does not expire. However, if the ticket reaches the expiration pre-set time during the funding stage, and none of the parties successfully funded it (i.e. funding transaction failed), the ticket does expire.
Funding a ticket is possible both via our Console and API, including the intermediary use case.
Fund a ticket via the Console
- Go to Network > Smart Transfers > Active tickets, and select Fund ticket to fund your ticket. Alternatively, you can select the ticket entry and then, on the ticket page, choose the asset you want to fund by selecting the relevant Fund button.
- In the New transfer window that opens, the asset, destination, and amount are already pre-filled.
- In the From field select a source account. This is where the ticket is funded from. You can fund the ticket from a vault account, connected exchange, or fiat account.
- Optionally, select a gas fee for the funding transfer from Low, Medium, High, or Custom.
- Select Create Transfer.
Once the transfer is created, the Recent activity panel then appears and shows the status of the transfer as it progresses. By selecting the transaction within the panel, the transaction information window appears, where you can see all its details. By selecting Show ticket information, you can also link to the ticket information area.
In your Transaction History, you can select a particular transaction and review its Smart Transfers ticket ID, as well as a link to the ticket itself.
Approve the ticket funding via your mobile device
Once a transaction is created, it is submitted for approval and signing via the Fireblocks mobile app, based on your workspace TAP settings. At this stage, you receive a notification inviting you to fund the Smart Transfers ticket. To do so:
- Tap the View button, which allows you to see the details of the transaction you are approving or signing on the Transfer screen.
- [Optional] To see additional information about the ticket, tap the ticket on the Transfer screen.
- Tap Approve or Deny on the Transfer screen to accept or reject the transaction funding the Smart Transfers ticket.
Note
To cancel the ticket in the UI, the issuing party needs to select Cancel, whereas the receiving party needs to select Reject.
- Enter your PIN code and confirm your identity using biometric authentication to complete your approval.
