Overview
Funding a Smart Transfer is similar to any other type of transfer and doesn't require separate Policy rules.
If a Smart Transfer ticket reaches its pre-set expiration time during the funding stage, and neither party has successfully funded it, the ticket expires. Tickets without a set expiration time do not expire.
You can fund Smart Transfers using the Console or the API, including tickets created by an intermediary.
Fund a ticket via the Console
- Navigate to the Smart Transfers tab under Fireblocks Network.
- Find the ticket you would like to fund and select Fund.
- Select the source account for this transaction. The asset, destination, and amount are not modifiable. You can fund the ticket from a vault account, connected exchange, or fiat account.
- If you select a vault account as your source, you can optionally select a Low, Medium, High, or Custom gas fee.
- If you select an exchange or fiat account, make sure the destination has been validated in your third-party account settings.
- Optionally enter an internal transaction note.
Select Transfer.
Approving a Smart Transfer on your mobile device
Once a transaction is created, the transaction signer receives a notification to review and complete the transaction based on your workspace Policy settings. This is completed using the Fireblocks mobile app or an API co-signer like other transactions.
Once the transfer is created you can follow its status and review details in the recent activity panel or your Transaction History. This includes the Smart Transfer ticket ID and a link to the ticket itself.
