Overview
Opening a ticket is available both via our Console and API. The intermediary use case, however, is available via the API only.
One-way Smart Transfers tickets
To open a one-way Smart Transfers ticket that requests to receive assets from a connection:
- In the Active tickets area, select Open ticket.
- Select the one-way Smart Transfers option.
- In the Profile field, select the Network profile you want to create the ticket with.
- In the Funding section, under Connection, select the connection to whom you want to send the funds. Under the Receive section, select the asset and the amount you want to request from your connection.
- If you want to add more than one asset, select the Add Asset button and fill out the asset type and required amount. Note that this button becomes available only once the previous asset's type and amount are properly filled out.
- Under the Expiration section, you can actively select an expiration time for the ticket, in hours. By default, the ticket will never expire, and will remain active unless it is funded or cancelled.
- Under the Note section, you may leave a free-text note to your connection, informing them of some unique details pertaining to this transaction.
- Under the External ID section, you may enter your internal system's particular ID for this transaction.
- Select Review request to see a summary of the entire ticket, prior to submission.
- Select Open ticket to create the ticket.
Two-way Smart Transfers tickets
To open a two-way Smart Transfers ticket that requests to send and receive assets to and from a connection:
- In the Active tickets area, select Open ticket.
- Select the two-way Smart Transfers option.
- In the Profile field, select the network profile you want to create the ticket with.
- In the Funding section, under Connection, select the connection to whom you want to send the funds.
- Under the Receive or Send sections, select the asset and the amount you want to request or send to/from your connection.
- If you want to add more than one asset, select the Add Asset button and fill out the asset type and required amount. Note that this button becomes available only once the previous asset's type and amount are properly filled out.
- Under the Expiration section, you can actively select an expiration time for the ticket, in hours. By default, the ticket will never expire, and will remain active unless it is funded or cancelled.
