About Fireblocks Smart Transfers
Fireblocks Smart Transfers is a ticketing and funding orchestration feature built on top of the Fireblocks Network. It is used to facilitate unilateral or bilateral transactions between Network participants.
Smart Transfers allows you to submit transfer tickets with context and settlement guidelines, so you can easily create, track and automate unidirectional or bi-directional transfers. The feature also automates the fund reconciliation process, thus minimizing the use of middle and back-office resources, and eliminating the need to manage communication over multiple secondary channels.
An intermediary setup is also possible where a third party can create a Smart Transfers ticket between two connected parties. The intermediary does not participate in the transfer of funds but has full visibility of transfer statuses.
The Smart Transfers dashboard
The Smart Transfers dashboard is located under your Console’s Fireblocks Network tab, in the navigation section at the top of the page. To reach it, select Network > Smart Transfers. On the landing page, you can see all Active tickets that are pending funding from either yourself or your connection. The Outflow and Inflow amounts on the top allow you to see how much funds you are due to send out and receive, based on the currently outstanding tickets.
You can see each ticket’s status on the left side of its entry. In order to view additional details about the ticket, select the Status field, and a pop-up window then shows you which of the parties has funded the ticket. Selecting the ticket entry opens a window with the full details of the transaction which the funding party used to fund their ticket leg.
Selecting the Show History link on the upper-right section of the Active tickets area shows you all of your previously-executed tickets, which are either expired, rejected or completed:
Smart Transfers ticket prerequisites
To use the Smart Transfers feature, both you and your connection must be Fireblocks Network members, and connected with each other. See Overview of the Fireblocks Network and Transferring over the Fireblocks Network for more information. In case a third party creates a Smart Transfers ticket, all participating parties must be connected to each other via the same Network Profiles.
