Overview
The workspace Owner uses the Fireblocks Console to delete users from their Cold Wallet workspace. This action does not require mobile approval and the deleted user immediately loses access to the cold workspace.
How to delete a user
- In the Fireblocks Console, go to Settings > Users.
- Find the user you want to delete, then select More Actions (...) > Delete user.
Cold Wallet user deletion best practices
- Before you delete a user, verify they are not required to fulfill a Transaction Authorization Policy rule or an Admin Quorum approval threshold.
- Fireblocks recommends never reusing a Cold Wallet device previously used to sign transactions. For example, if you delete a Signer user from the workspace and then add a new Signer user, you should provision them with a new, unused offline device instead of the previous Signer's device.
- When you delete a Signer user from the workspace, we recommend deprecating their Cold Wallet device according to your IT organization's best practices for secure data removal.
